Directors Governance & Equity Management

Tuesday, August 9, 2016
Indiana Farm Bureau, 225 S. East St., Indianapolis, IN

In the last 10 years, the job of a cooperative director has become more difficult.  Cooperatives have become larger, more diverse and complex and operate in much more volatile markets.  In addition to effort and commitment, cooperative boards need a clear framework for continuous improvement.  This session will discuss how member-owners of a cooperative contribute to and democratically control equity capital, and receive a share of the profits based on their patronage or use of the co-op’s services.  The program will, also, explore how co-ops that want to remain competitive need to leverage the components of an agile governance structure. The registration fee for MACC Members is $210.00, and for Nonmembers the registration fee is $365.00.  The registration fee includes lunch at the Indiana Farm Bureau cafeteria.
